Opinion: Are Telugu Films Choking Neighbours?

Telugu films are the only ones right now in India other than some English movies like Spiderman, which are targeting a pan India release. Even Hindi films are having a release here, but local versions are available most of the time.

But then, Telugu films like RRR, Pushpa, Shyam Singa Roy, Radhe Shyam are trying to release the movie in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada at the same time.

Coming to the choking part, firstly we have the RRR team flying to Mumbai, Chennai and Banglore to promote their trailer. They are followed by Allu Arjun’s Pushpa team for press meets in those cities. And then we have Nani’s Shyam Singha Roy also following the same footprint.

In a week or two, even Radhe Shyam will also fly to all these cities for the trailer launch and all. Some reports are coming out that those industries are actually choking with this hungama.

For the kind of craze these Telugu stars are having, surely all those press meets are a huge hit in other cities of the neighbouring states.

But then, these films are grabbing away all the attention there as well, giving no space for other small budgeted Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films that are releasing around. But who could do anything when Telugu films are in such demand?
