Pushpa Producer’s Terrific Response On Runtime Complaint

One of the major complaints we heard about ‘Pushpa’ is the lengthy runtime of 3 hours. But then, many big films usually have such a runtime, however, it’s the lag that makes us feel so long about it. So, what has the producers to say about it?

Responding to this, producer Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers revealed that runtime is not at all an issue. “Usually films of big stars and big directors tend to have three hours runtime. Even our previous Rangasthalam had a similar runtime. There will be little lag here and there, but such a long time is needed to establish things correctly as per the story’s requirements. And the audience is not at all worried about it” he said quite confidently.

“If we are after money, surely we would have cut the runtime such that the multiplex theatres in Hyderabad would have easily accommodated the fifth show. Due to three hours runtime, they did only four shows which other we would have got 50 lakhs more share easily” added Naveen, giving a different perspective about the runtime and its advantages. This is a terrific response we must say as the makers are planning only to trim out a few scenes but won’t be doing any massive cuts to shorten the runtime.

Meanwhile, the producers expressed happiness over the massive collections and are confident that the film will eventually end as a mega-blockbuster.
