Apparently, the situation of Covid, Omicron, Night curfew, and 50% occupancy in Maharashtra, and the shutdown of theatres in Andhra Pradesh are some of the negative things that are worrying Film Industries across India in a big way. Especially big releases like RRR and Radhe Shyam are getting trembled by the situations. And here comes a big rumor.
Talk is coming out that the team of Radhe Shyam is not going to start promotions in a big way as they feel that the January 14th release will not be fruitful from the box office point of view.
While UV Creations has been maintaining that the film will release on time as usual even though Thaman has to complete the background score work, rumors from Mumbai are popping up that deferring release is the best way for the now. This is because the film has to collect mammoth to recover the mega-investment made on it.
As Maharashtra is the main dominion to get a terrific collection, 50% occupancy rule and lack of second show every day will affect the BO result big time.
Similarly, the situation in Andhra Pradesh is also quite bad with low ticket prices affecting the collections of all the films. So we have to see if Radhe Shyam’s main producers will heed to their distributors up north or not.
