New Year Belongs To Shyam Singha Roy: Nani

Very rare films get critical accolades, besides becoming a commercial hit and Natural Star Nani’s epic love story Shyam Singha Roy is one such film. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film featured Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty as heroines.

Shyam Singha Roy’s Blockbuster Classic event has been held today with R Narayana Murthy attending it as a special guest. He made a big statement saying Nani is a Mr Perfectionist like Aamir Khan. “Nani is our Telugu Aamir Khan,” said he who also appreciated the performance of Sai Pallavi in the movie. He then requested AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to come with a decision which will cause re-opening of theatres which were closed due to low ticket prices in the state.

Producer Venkat Boyanapalli thanked Dil Raju for his support for the film. He said he always had the confidence on the movie to do well. “Sai Pallavi had great belief on the script from the beginning itself. We can’t imagine any other actor in the role. Sai Pallavi is like my family,” said he who became emotional while speaking about Nani.

Director Rahul Sankrityan revealed about three Shyam Singha Roys in his life. “My father who taught me questioning is my first Shyam Singha Roy. Sirivennela who penned two wonderful songs for the film is second Shyam Singha Roy. Nani is the most important Shyam Singha Roy in my life. Nani indeed is source of energy for the film.”

Nani expressed his happiness of overwhelming response for Shyam Singha Roy. He said many doubted capabilities of Rahul Sankrityan in handling such a tough subject. “Rahul proved all of them wrong with his wonderful taking. Though I did several love stories, I still wanted a memorable film. Shyam Singha Roy will remain to be that memorable love story in my life. I can understand why Venkat Boyanapalli turned emotional. I feel happy to have a producer like him. I wish to work again with him. We all have blessings of Sirivennela. I thank Telugu audience for making this a big hit. New Year also belongs to Shyam Singha Roy.”
