Rowdy Boy Turns ‘Selfish’

Top producer ‘Dil’ Raju is happy with the box office collections of ‘Rowdy Boys’ which marked the debut of his nephew Ashish. Revealing the details of ‘Rowdy Boys’ collections, ‘Dil’ Raju said the film collected Rs 7 crore gross and Rs 4 crore share in the first five days and this is mainly due to Sankranthi festival.

Then ‘Dil’ Raju announced the second project of hero Ashish. The film is titled ‘Selfish’ and it will be directed by Kaasi who worked as assistant to Tollywood’s top director Sukumar. Also ‘Selfish’ will be co-produced by Sukumar under his Sukumar Writings banner.

This announcement garnered a buzz as Sukumar’s assistants have a good history of making successful films. Buchi Babu Sana is the best example and his ‘Uppena’ was a blockbuster at the box office and went on to collect Rs 100 crore.

‘Selfish’ title sounds seriously different and for Ashish, this would be an author backed role. The project will start rolling some time later this year.
