When Top Heroes Says No To Ravi Teja

Vikram Vedha was a huge blockbuster in Tamil. Starring Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles, this action drama received immense critical acclaim as well. Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja wanted to remake this film a few years ago.

According to the sources, Ravi wanted Sudheer Varma to direct the film. Sudheer also showed interest in doing it. The Vikramarkudu actor was keen on portraying the role of Vedha, which was done by Sethupathi in the original version.

The makers then tried approaching other A-list heroes to portray Vikram’s role. However, none of the actors showed interest in doing that character and they were also keen on doing Vedha’s role. As there is no point in doing the film if no A-list actor is doing the role of Vikram, the makers had kept the idea on hold.

The original version’s producer Sashikanth had held the remake rights of the Telugu version with him for a long time. Later, he started remaking it in Bollywood, with Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan playing the lead roles.

As the film is now being remade in Hindi with top stars, there are the least chances of it getting remade in Telugu.

On the other side, Sudheer, who lost a chance of working with Ravi Teja back then, has got that opportunity now, with his new film Ravanasura.
