Taapsee’s film Is The First To Get COVID Insurance

While the Coronavirus cases are on rise, the film industry – which already suffered a big loss due to lockdown- has resumed film shoots by complying with all the govt regulations. But for production houses, it is quite a daunting task to keep deadly virus away from sets everyday. It is further delaying the shoot and resulting in losses for the makers.

To avoid financial loss & other unwanted problems while shooting in this highly vulnerable situation, the makers of Taapsee Pannu starrer ‘Looop Lapeta’, Atul Kasbekar and Tanuj Garg, have decided to cover their film for COVID-19 insurance.

According to producer Atul, “If one person from the film unit gets infected with Coronavirus, entire cast and crew should get home quarantine for about 2 weeks. So, the shooting will eventually be stopped during that time. The COVID-19 insurance will cover up the loss incurred for those non-shooting days and currently the draft work for insurance policy is underway.”

If everything goes as per plan, Loop Lapeta will be the first Bollywood film to get Covid-19 insurance policy.
