Senior Hero Lost His Grip On Story Selection

In recent times, many star heroes changed their paths and went on scoring super hits at the box office as the likes of Megastar Chiru, Balayya, Mohan Lal, Mammooty, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan are in top form right now. But then, one talented hero who is still unable to find rhythm like a Shahrukh Khan in Bollywood is none other than Chiyaan Vikram.

Back then, when Vikram’s films are turning up in theatre, people used to have super ecstatic as they are sure that this acting legend will pick up amazing stories. But now, all that glory is lost it seems to be if the talk around Mahaan is anything to go by. Other day, this film was released directly on OTT, Amazon Prime, and got a mixed response.

Despite the fact that it has Karthik Subbaraj directing it, Mahaan is a pretty soulless drama without giving any riveting moments and almost all the scenes sound quite predictable. Even Vikram’s terrific acting prowess could not save a film when the story and screenplay are not moving in the right direction, and Mahaan proved it again.

Also it is proving that Vikram lost grip on the story selection as most of his recent movies suffered from the same thing.
