Will Khiladi Carry Forward Pushpa Wave?

Back in December, two films proved to Tollywood that the box office will be revived big time by star heroes with engaging commercial content, and one of them has enticed the whole of India.

It’s such a simple guess that we are talking about Akhanda and Pushpa right here. Amidst third-wave fears, Pushpa has done the unthinkable by shaking both Telugu as well as Bollywood box office.

Surprisingly Pushpa has come forward such a long way with a glorious 50 days run, but then, no other Telugu film has continued the streak.

Though Tollywood expected a lot from Pongal, that too didn’t go well with films like Bangarraju, Hero, Rowdy Boys not doing up to the mark. And after a gap, now two more films including Raviteja’s Khiladi and Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s DJ Tillu are hitting cinemas this Friday.

After Akhanda and Pushpa, Khiladi is the mass film that is coming up to theatres and if it scores a blockbsuter, surely the Pushpa wave will be taken forward from here.

Even distributors and exhibitors are hoping that the Pushpa mania will now be taken up by Khiladi big time as the mass trailer laced with loads of fights and glamour is looking little hopeful. Let’s see what happens.
