Back then, Bollywood’s star heroines used to be different and South India’s queen would be different. If there are Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor there, we have Tamanna and Trisha here.
But now that boundaries are blurring, especially with Telugu films doing good in Hindi as well, even heroines from Tollywood are getting superb offers there. And here’s the catch.
With Telugu films doing well in Bollywood hinterlands now Telugu filmmakers are thinking about roping in big Bollywood heroines for their upcoming ventures.
We already have Kiara Advani roped in for Ram Charan and Shankar’s movie, while Deepika Padukone boarded Prabhas’ Project K, Ananya Panday for Puri-Vijay’s Liger and Alia Bhatt signing dotting line for Jr NTR’s next under Koratala’s direction.
Looking at this pattern we could understand the fact that from the next onwards, big heroes of Tollywood will go after Bollywood beauties from now even if they charge a couple of crores more. Because that will help them make the Hindi dubbed released a bigger one.
But what about the Telugu heroines who are shining here? Until these beauties have a market in Bollywood too, the local beauties who come from Bangalore and Cochin to sizzle in Telgu movies might not find big films here, say some film analysts.
