As the intensity of the COVID-19’s third wave started reducing, many states across the country are relaxing the restrictions. Thus, various films which got postponed are now gearing up for release.
There are many big films which are clashing with each other on the very same day. Yash’s KGF Chapter:2 and Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey also fall under this list. Both these films are slated for April 14th release.
KGF 2’s release date was confirmed long back. There is huge anticipation on this film, after the success of its predecessor. Earlier, Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha planned to lock horns with KGF 2.
However, Laal Singh Chaddha’s release date is now pushed to August 11. As soon as it was postponed, Shahid Kapoor booked that slot for the release of his film Jersey.
Directed by Gautam Tinnanuri, this film was originally slated for release on December 31. It was postponed due to the third wave of the pandemic. Now, it is all set to fight with KGF 2.
This is Shahid Kapoor’s immediate film after the blockbuster outing, Kabir Singh. Thus, there are heavy expectations on it. The film is the remake of the 2019 Telugu film of the same title. We have to see which among these films will prove to be a winner at the box office.
