As the release date is approaching, the video songs of Alia Bhatt’s latest movie “Gangubai” are hitting YouTube one by one. And we have to say that the songs missed out on that colorful Sanjay Leela Bhansali mark as the subject won’t allow using such a palette, but then the director imprinted his style in another way.
Other day the song titled “Meri Jaan” was released by the Gangubai team, and we have to say that Alia Bhatt’s romance and anger inside a car with actor Shantanu Maheshwari is quite amusing. Except for 2-3 cuts, the song is a single-take visual where Alia amazes her with a quick change of expressions.
From a naughty lover, she transforms into an angry madame, then breaks down into tears and falls in love with the guy next to him, asking him to massage her hair. Such trivial and sensitive emotions if we could say, Alia has pulled it off effortlessly, that took in a single 2.5 minutes length uncut show.
If all these visuals work in theatre as well along with the terrific drama crafted by Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Alia and Ajay Devgan, no doubt, the film’s result and collections will be massive. Gangubai is hitting cinemas on Feb 25th.
