It is not a novelty for Alia Bhatt to receive criticism from the controversy’s favourite child, Kangana Ranaut. The latter has many times taken a dig at the former and on her family members, popularly calling them ‘Bollywood Mafia gang’. Even before the Gangubai release, Kangana shared her opinion on social media that the Rs200 crore budget will turn into ashes.
Kangana also called Alia names such as ‘papa ki pari’ and ‘romcom bimbo’. But the actress has turned the tables as she is in awe after witnessing the tremendous response of Gangubai. In a surprise move, the actress praised Alia Bhatt and wrote on her Instagram Stories, “Happy to hear theatres are being revived in South film industry with record-breaking collections. I hear some baby steps are being taken in the Hindi belt also. With recent female-centric film which has a big hero and a superstar director. They may be baby steps but they are not insignificant. They will be crucial for theatres that are on ventilators here. Great.”
She added, “Never expected that the movie mafia will rise to the occasion and do something good. If they do we will be absolutely appreciative. Hoping for the best.” it is truly a surprise that Kangana kept her ego clashes aside and praised the genuinely good work in the public domain. Fans are also appreciating the actress for being true to herself leaving no room for superficiality.
A couple of days ago, Kangana was in a belief that Gangubai had a wrong cast and it will be the biggest drawback of the film. But it is totally laudable today for what she posted by valuing other’s work. Meanwhile, Kangana is all busy with her reality TV debut this week as the host of AltBalaji’s Lock Upp.
