Prabhas’s Adipurush is a long-awaited film and fans are upset for getting hardly any updates from the makers. Recently, Aamir Khan announced that his social drama, Laal Singh Chaddha, will release on August 11, 2022, and thanked the entire team of Adipurush to let go of the aforementioned date.
This means, Adipursh will have a new release date and Prabhas’s fans are curious to get some updates on the same. This Om Raut directorial is based on Ramayana and the idea of the film was born when Raut attended the screening of Japanese filmmaker Yugo Sako’s anime version of Ramayana, The Prince of Light.
Meanwhile, there is a strong buzz that the film will be released during the Diwali 2022 weekend. But Bhushan Kumar said that the team is yet to make a decision on the release date. “We will announce it once we decide on it. There are some other films already announced for Diwali weekend, so we need to see which date we can choose,” he added.
This leaves many surprised that makers are still unclear about the release. A couple of days ago, Raut mentioned that Adipurush is set 7000 years ago and all the touchpoints are taken from the Ramayana, but with modern storytelling technique. Such intriguing tidbits from the director is surely leaving fans desperate for more info.
Adipurush is touted to be among the costliest Indian films to date. Prabhas plays the role of Lord Ram, Saif Ali Khan will be seen as Raavan. Kriti Sanon has come on board to play Seeta in this epic drama. The team has wrapped up shooting for the film and it is currently in the post-production stage.
