Keerthy Suresh Becomes a Target for No Reason?

Actress Keerthy Suresh is facing negative comments on social media after a recent interview featuring Radhika Apte went viral. However looking at the social media comments, it looks like Keerthy is being unnecessarily dragged into the controversy.

Radhika Apte recently spoke about her experience working in Telugu cinema. During an interview, she recalled acting in a Telugu film where her character had to marry her maternal uncle. She also said that she had to romance a much older actor and described the experience as challenging.

Although Radhika did not name the film, many social media users linked her comments to the 2014 movie Legend starring Nandamuri Balakrishna. During the interview, Keerthy Suresh was also present. When Radhika spoke about the marriage-related storyline, Keerthy explained that such relationships have traditionally been shown in some Tamil and Telugu films.

Keerthy appeared to be providing context about South Indian cinema rather than supporting or opposing Radhika’s personal experience. However some social media users have started criticising her for remaining silent while Radhika spoke about the film.

A few people have also brought up Keerthy’s earlier comments about Chiranjeevi and Vijay. They are now using those old statements to criticise her again.

This has led to unnecessary negativity against the actress even though she did not make the controversial remarks herself.

Radhika Apte’s comments have started a wider discussion about age differences between actors, female characters and the portrayal of women in films. Such discussions are not new, and people have different opinions about how these stories should be presented.

At the same time, Keerthy Suresh’s role in the interview was mainly to explain the cultural background of certain film storylines. Dragging her into the controversy simply because she was sitting beside Radhika Apte seems unfair.

Keerthy has worked in several successful Telugu films and has always been part of discussions about South Indian cinema. She never spoke anything negative regarding Tollywood at any time. But the current situation shows how quickly social media users can turn an ordinary interview moment into a controversy.
