DSP Losing It In ‘Thaman’ Era!

Devi Sri Prasad and Thaman are the most happening and successful music directors in Telugu cinema in the last two decades. If we take most of the Telugu big-budget films featuring big actors, either DSP or Thaman will be the music composers of those movies.

But of late, it looks like Thaman is outshining DSP a lot, especially for the last three-four years. If we make a list of the chartbusters in Telugu in the last few years, most of them are composed of Thaman.

In the recent past, DSP came up with albums like Pushpa, Rowdy Boys, Good Luck Sakhi and Khiladi. Except for Pushpa, the songs of the rest of the films didn’t impress the audience at all.

On the other side, Thaman came up with films like Akhanda and Bheemla Nayak. He has done exceptionally well for both films. Especially, his background scores for these two flicks were outstanding. Moreover, the recent chartbuster song ‘Kalavathi’ from Sarkaru Vaari Paata was also composed by Thaman.

With all his works, Thaman is dominating DSP a lot these days. Netizens on social media are calling this age a ‘Thaman Era’.

We have to see if DSP can catch up with Thaman with his upcoming films. His next release Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu is hitting the screens this Friday. Let’s see if DSP can comeback on success track with this movie.
