Title Troubles For Puri’s Janaganamana

Maverick director Puri Jagannath is currently prepping up to start his next project Janaganamana with Vijay Deverakonda. Puri stated it as his dream project in various instances.

In fact, he initially planned to make this film with Superstar Mahesh Babu. But the idea didn’t materialize. Finally, after a long gap, he is making the movie with Vijay Deverakonda. After all the initial hiccups, Janaganamana is now facing another trouble.

Already, there are two films under production with the same title. While one is of Jayam Ravi in Tamil, the other one is of Prithviraj Sukumaran in Malayalam.

In Jayam Ravi’s Janaganamana, Taapsee is playing the female lead. This movie is currently in the shooting stages and is expected to hit the screens later this year.

On the flip side, Prithviraj has already released posters and promos of his Janaganamana. He also officially announced that the movie will hit the screens on April 28.

Meanwhile, Puri is yet to take his Janaganamana on floors. As it is a pan-India film, having a recently-used title may create some confusion, especially among Tamil and Malayalam audiences, opined the film experts. Thus, we have to see if Puri opts to change the title or goes ahead with the same one.
