Watch: Rajamouli Answers About Prabhas’ Absence In RRR

Sensational filmmaker Rajamouli is extending his support to his close friend Prabhas during the promotions of Radhe Shyam. The film is hitting the screens tomorrow. Ahead of the film’s release, the Baahubali actor and director discussed the making of Radhe Shyam in a candid conversation.

Prabhas started off the interview by thanking Rajamouli for allocating time to promote Radhe Shyam, amidst the works of RRR.

Rajamouli wondered how Prabhas transformed himself from being an introvert to being extremely active during the promotions now. Reminding Prabhas of the times of Baahubali promotions, Rajamouli said that Prabhas was extremely shy to answer the questions but he is now answering the questions asked for others.

Prabhas said that Baahubali made it possible. “With Baahubali and Saaho, I had to step out and promote the films. Now, for Radhe Shyam, I had become the film’s face,” said Prabhas.

Talking about his character in the film, Prabhas said, “Vikramaditya character is a perfect example of commerciality. He is like the best. He is the Einstein of palmistry. He is a genius. I am happy to play such a character.”

Rajamouli then asked Prabhas if he believes in palmistry and astrology. “Until Baahubali happened, I was thinking that hard work alone brings success but after that, I started to believe in destiny.” said the actor.

Rajamouli revealed that Radhe Shyam is going to be a highly emotional and engaging film. He also complimented that the ship episode has come out well and it will become the major highlight of the movie.

Prabhas said that he is inspired by Rajamouli constantly. “I used to tell Siva, Sujeeth, UV, and Radha about how you make films. Your vision in adding emotions to a commercial element is something that makes the film work,” said Prabhas.

In the end, Prabhas asked why he was not cast for RRR, saying it would have been spectacular to see him along with Charan and NTR on the screen. Rajamouli said, “You are like a big ship. We can’t have it when there is no necessity of the ship. But, if we feel it is very important, we will do anything to bring you into the movie.”

Starring Pooja Hegde in the lead role, Radhe Shyam is directed by Radha Krishna Kumar.
