Radhe Shyam Fact Sheet: UV Is Safe & Satisfied

Prabhas-starrer Radhe Shyam is battling against all the odds ever since it hit the marquee. The film made with a budget of Rs 300 Crore has managed to rake in Rs 200 Crore through non-theatrical rights which include music, satellite, digital rights of all languages.

The theatrical rights of Hindi have fetched another Rs 100 Crore from the partners T-Series. The film is touted to be the biggest theatrical release post Covid-19 pandemic.

In the first weekend, Radhe Shyam has fetched close to Rs 50 Crore share approximately in the Telugu states. As per the sources close to producers, the film made 21 Crore share in Nizam, Rs 21.46 Crore share in Andhra, Rs 7.50 Cr share in Ceded in the first three days.

It can also be noted that the rise in ticket prices in AP seems to have benefited the makers. Despite not having any action scenes, Radhe Shyam is doing well in the Ceded region which is surprising the trade. The film is strong in Nizam and expected to do well till the release of RRR. However, there may be a slight drop in the weekdays which needs to be seen. The Monday BO figures are yet to come out.

Meanwhile, the Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam versions were icing on the cake for the producers. UV has released the film on its own in the South and it is contented with the revenues. Going by the above statistics provided by the film’s unit, producers UV Creations are said to be safe and satisfied with the BO numbers.

However, the only major let down is the BO figures of the Hindi version. T Series is expected to incur huge loss that they may have to get it factored in from their next production ventures with Prabhas.

UV may take some burden to bail out its partner T-Series in Hindi which will be taking a final call after the final run of the film. So, overall, UV Creations is said to be safe and contended. Had the film got better talk, the makers would have pocketed bigger profits. Still, the big litmus test is in the coming days.
