The film ‘The Kashmir Files’ is having an unprecedented run at the box office all over the country. The film picked up slowly at the box office and a week after its release, it is racing towards Rs 100 crore.
Simultaneously ‘The Kashmir Files’ has also come under the scanner from the critics and historians who called it a one-sided story. Accordingly, criticism is pouring down on director Vivek Agnihotri. Amidst this, the government of India has up-ed the security for director Vivek.
The Union Home Ministry has recommended Y status security with CRPF cover for Vivek and he will be guarded by eight police personnel. Vivek is not the first Bollywood celebrity to get Y security as earlier controversial actress Kangana Ranaut was also awarded the same level of security for being vocal against the Bollywood mafia.
‘The Kashmir Files’ was based on Hindus from the valley region who fled during the time of militancy. The film released on March 11th and received rave reviews.
