Well, everyone is right now hailing legendary director SS Rajamouli for crafting the so-called pan India movies that are taking the country by a storm across its length and breadth.
As the magnum opus RRR is hitting cinemas, even the superstar Aamir Khan praised Rajamouli to the sky and asked him to reveal the super hit formula behind these pan-India movies.
Taking everyone by a surprise, Rajamouli went on saying that actually, he has learned a lot from one movie which happens to be the first ever pan-India movie. “Actually I’m making movies and they are releasing in 4-5 languages. But back then, the movie Lagaan that was made in Hindi alone had a terrific run across the country, thus becoming the first ever pan-India movie”, said Rajamouli, shocking Aamir Khan.
Rajamouli further added: “I understood after watching Lagaan that any film that was made with a universal story and focusing on basic human emotions will enthrall audience anywhere irrespective of the linguistic”. These revelations have not only mesmerized Aamir Khan, but also impressed everyone who is listening to it.
Released in 2001, Aamir Khan’s Lagaan which was directed by Ashutosh Gowariker centers around playing a cricket match with the then Britishers during the pre-Independent for the cancellation of the brutal tax being levied on farmers. From songs to scenes, and the overall concept on a whole, Lagaan became a blockbuster back then
