RRR Day 1 WW Collection: RRRecords Break!

RRR has got an extRRRaordinary opening at the box office. The period actioner directed by SS Rajamouli after magnum opus Baahubali was released with a massive expectations and the film got a terrific start at the cinemas matching upto the hype. Featuring NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles, the film has Alia Bhatt and Olivia Morris as the female leads. Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and Samuthirakani are the other cast. The film revolves around the fictional characters of Alluri Sitaramaraju and Komaram Bheem.

Released on March 25th, the film has received positive reviews. Bollywood media too is all praise for maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli who got the pulse of masses. In Telugu states, RRR earned a spectacular Rs 127.2 Crore gross on Day 1.

From Overseas, RRR earned Rs 69.2 Crore gross which includes the premieres. In the Hindi belt, RRR made Rs 22.6 Crore gross which is phenomenal start for a film with more South appeal, barring Alia and Ajay Devgn. As per trade, the Hindi version collected Rs 20 Crore Nett and Telugu version collected Rs 2.6 Crore Nett in the Hindi markets. RRR Hindi recorded terrific numbers in Mumbai City, Thane, Nagpur, Bihar whereas it is lacking impact in Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Punjab and Gujarat. The Kashmir Files is still continuing its glorious run in the other parts.

In the South markets, RRR raked in Rs 16.04 Crore gross from Karnataka, Rs 9.20 Crore gross from Tamil Nadu and Rs 4.01 Crore gross from Kerala. Thus, taking the total WW collections to Rs 248 Crore approximately. This is a record feat.
