Today marks the last day of the joint fashion week between FDCI and Lakme Fashion Week. The 5-day event had been colourful and high on fashion with several ace designers showcasing their creations. The fashion event took place in Delhi which stood as a great platform both for new designers and renowned labels.
Designer Keerthi Kadire ran her SS’22 ‘ALEZAEH’ collection on the ramp with models clad in gorgeous and contemporary ruffle lehengas. The showstopper Pooja Hegde looked like sunshine with bright floral motifs. She wore a pastel lehenga that was full of multicolour floral embroidery. Her strappy blouse came with a V-neck and a curved hem.
Adidas Originals and Ujjawal Dubey collaborated to make Indo-Western styles. The collection included monochrome satin silk outfits powered with quirky prints, dhoti pants, salwar pants, and slit baggy pants. Show-stopper Shruti Haasan walked in a coordinated black silk suit set with padded shoulders and a mandarin collar. It looks very contemporary and Shruti also looked fierce in the bold mauve lipstick blended perfectly with her eye makeup.
Actress Kangana Ranaut turned up for the Khadi India show at the FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week. The day brought together five labels- MOSSI Abhishek Gupta Benares, Anavila, Anju Modi, Charu Parashar and Rina Dhaka, each portraying their signature styles and collections. Kangana looked exquisite in a beautiful pristine white saree as she walked the ramp. She paired it with a sleeveless blouse and a statement emerald pendant layered necklace.
The ace designer Tarun Tahiliani wrapped up Day 4 of FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week with ethnic ensembles. He showcased his Luxury Pret collection and the showstopper Kriti Sanon wore a colour coordinated set that consisted of a strapless top. The ruched detailing and sheer fabric embellishments were a treat to the eyes.
Today, on the last day, Label Romaa came with its latest collection, Jharoka Couture ’22, inspired by heritage and traditional art forms. Actress and model Nargis Fakhri flew down from New York City to play showstopper for the designer. She looked lovely in a full-sleeve anarkali kurta. She paired it with flared palazzo pants. The highlight of the outfit was an intricate gold embroidered dupatta.
Shanaya, the daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, walked the ramp for well-known designer Manish Malhotra. She looked jaw-dropping in a backless gown. Shanaya shared her excitement on her debut ramp walk on Twitter. “First walk had the best time @manishmalhotraworld @manishmalhotra05 @siddhantchaturvedi #diffuse,” she wrote along with the pictures.
Designers Shivan & Narresh, who are known for the best swimwear, stunned everyone with their summer styles. The collections included cut-out monokinis and bikini sets. For the duo, the showstopper was Miss Universe. Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu walked in a red halter-neck gown designed in velvet. The dress featured a sparkled neckline with twisted fabric.
