Kajal Aggarwal, who has swooned audiences for over decade on silver screen in various languages, is all set for her new role. With OTT platforms on rise and demand for content for digital platforms growing, Kajal seems to be toying with the idea of doing a web series where she would likely to do a bold role.
Kajal has been reportedly approached to do the remake of Quantico web series in India. While Priyanka Chopra had played the original role in the American TV series, Kajal is said to be the top choice for the makers to remake it in India as she is having a fan base in all languages. Netflix would be distributing the series on its platform in India.
The makers are planning to do the series in Hindi and also release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and other languages. Hence, they had thought that Kajal Aggarwal would be a good bet. Kajal has a special interest in such roles. She had earlier expressed that she likes films like Charlie’s Angels and would like to do films like that.
Quantico being a thriller which revolves around the protagonist, Kajal is said to be keen on the role. In the original, Priyanka Chopra is seen as Alex Parrish, a promising FBI agent who becomes a prime suspect in the Grand Central Terminal bombing case. Priyanka’s acting and her looks earned her good fame internationally. As it’s going to be a hot and bold role in the remake as well, it would portray Kajal in a never-seen-before role.
