Released amidst huge expectations, Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast not only performed well in Tamil Nadu on its first day but also got huge openings in territories like the UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Europe, and Australia.
Though Vijay has no strong market in North America, Beast gained a decent rollout with an $850K collection on its opening day in the USA.
But with the mixed reviews and with the release of KGF 2, the movie is going to have a lot of drops from the second day. It looks like the Beast can get only around $100k gross on its second day in the US.
Top of all, Beast has to collect around $1.5 Million to reach breakeven, but after such a huge drop it looks like Beast will have to struggle a lot to get breakeven in foreign territories.
Beast is expected to perform well in the Telugu states but unfortunately, the movie opened to a flop talk.
Starring Pooja Hegde in the female lead, Beast is directed by Nelson.
