These days every film is becoming a Pan India movie if it gets dubbed in as many languages as possible. And Nani’s Ante Sundariniki team has already thrown satire on the Pan India thing by calling their film a Pan South India movie earlier. And now, Nani’s opinion of becoming a pan India hero is surely going to surprise many.
With many Telugu superstars like Prabhas, Ram Charan and NTR, and Yash from the Kannada industry becoming the new pan India stars, almost every hero is facing the question of when are they going to become the next superstar. And today at the trailer launch of “Ante Sundaraniki”, even Natural Star Nani faced the same Q from Telugu media folks. Guess what he said.
“I don’t believe in the concept of dubbing a Telugu film in many languages and releasing it across states to call it a Pan India film or to make me a pan India hero. I want to make those films that people from various corners of India will ask for it, and watch on OTT at least. Rather releasing every film in all possible languages in India, it’s better to make the content work”, said Nani, giving his own definition to Pan India movies.
Of course, movies like Arjun Reddy and Rangasthalam were watched by North audiences in a similar fashion, and that is happening with many other movies too. But dubbing a film in many releases and making the content universally work like a Pushpa, RRR and KGF2 is a different thing altogether, isn’t it?
