Superstar Rajinikanth came up with Annaatthe last year. This Siva directorial became an average venture at the Tamil box office and ended up as a disaster in Telugu. After Annaatthe’s release, Rajini took a break for a few months and announced his new project recently.
Tentatively called Thalaivar 169, this film is being directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for it.
Nelson came up with Beast recently. Starring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role, this film was released amid heavy expectations but ended up as a disaster at the box office.
Thus, Nelson is planning to make a strong comeback with Thalaivar 169. Meanwhile, we now hear that there will be another hero along with Rajinikanth in this film.
According to sources, young hero Siva Karthikeyan will play the other lead role in this film. An official announcement regarding his inclusion is expected to be made soon.
The combination of Rajini and Siva Karthikeyan sounds exciting and we have to see how this movie pans out.
