Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya is releasing today and the first premiere shows in the US have already hit the screens. Here is the premiere report from one of the US Premieres.
Acharya first half is formulaic and the story goes on a slow pace with no highlights. The songs look just fine only with Chiru’s dances while the fights are not enticing.
The story itself is an outdated line and the narration goes the same old fashioned way. Background music is okay.
The second half is completely the flashback of siddha, Ram charan. Though hyped a lot, Ram Charan’s character as well is pretty routine and formulaic mostly.
The maoist backdrop also is not very enticing. Chiru most stays a spectator in the second half, only to give priminense to charan’s role. Bhale Banjara song in the second half is a great watch for Chiru and Charan’s dancing together. The closure of flashback, preclimax and climax are predictable to the most. The fight in the climax may excite action lovers.
Overall, Acharya is an old fashioned movie with rotuine commercial elements that fails to entertain. Stay glued for the full review.
