Ashoka Vanam Lo Arjuna Kalyanam
Vishwak Sen’s Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam was released today. Here is the first report from the US Premieres.
The movie takes off with Arjun Kumar Allam’s arranged marriage with Madhavi. The first half has mostly breezy moments with Vishwak Sen’s all-new look and in entirely a different role that we never imagined. He looked good as an inferior and introverted groom who is desperate to get married.
Character actors Rajkumar Kasireddy of Rajavaru Rani Garu fame, Goparaju Ramana of Middleclass melodies fame, and Kadambari Kiran Kumar fill the fun moments. Until the twist that comes before the interval changes the mood, AVAK goes on in an entertaining mode.
The second half is a bit slow, but there comes another twist. AVAK which starts as a family drama with a wedding point as the center turns into a love story. The lockdown from Corona times is used as the main base, which sounds a bit overused and outdated for present cinema, at times. The movie ends on a positive note with Arjun Kumar Allam realizing what he is doing and what he has to do. Overall, Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam is a passable family drama with a fun-filled first half and little slow second half.
That’s all for the first report from the US Premieres of Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam. Stay around for a full review.
