In a disappointment to Akkineni fans, the theatrical release of Akhil’s upcoming movie ‘Agent’ has been postponed. The film which was supposed to release on August 12th, is now postponed to a later day which is yet to be announced officially.
The reason being there is a heavy competition at the box office for Independence Day. Nithiin’s ‘Macherla Niyojakavargam,’ Samantha’s ‘Yashoda’ are slated for August 12th release and we have also reports that Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Thank You’ with Vikram is also going to release on the same date.
To avoid this heavy clash, the makers of ‘Agent’ pushed the film but they haven’t decided on a new date. They will take a call on the release once they wrap up the shoot. Moreover the makers are planning for a pan India release in multiple languages.
‘Agent’ is a high octane action entertainer and Akhil is essaying the role of a wild spy. Surender Reddy is directing and co-producing this big budget film with Anil Sunkara.
