Mahesh Babu usually stays away from controversy and most of the times avoids media discussions. But his comments ‘Bollywood can’t afford me’ and ‘I can’t waste my time’ have sparked big controversy. There were mixed reactions all over and B-town filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt also reacted to it. Now, keeping up with the topic, Queen Kangana Ranaut came in support of Mahesh Babu.
Kangana Ranaut agreed with Mahesh Babu’s statement that Bollywood can’t afford him. During the Dhaakad second trailer launch event in Delhi and when the media reporters asked about Mahesh’s comments, she readily agreed, ‘Ye toh unhone sahi kaha (He said it right). I agree with this. I know for a fact that he gets a lot of offers from various filmmakers. His generation of actors has made the Telugu film industry the number one film industry in India. So Bollywood definitely cannot afford him.’
“He has shown respect towards his industry and nobody can deny it. We can’t deny that the Telugu film industry didn’t get anything on a platter. In the last 10-15 years, they have worked hard and have even left the Tamil film industry behind. We can only learn from them,” said Kangana.
Kangana Ranaut had been vocal against the so-called Bollywood filmmakers and she had been doing the subject oriented films led by her mostly. While she praises the Telugu cinema and its accomplishments of late, it reminds us that she acted in a Telugu film and that too with the Baahubali actor long back, titled Ek Niranjan.
