After a long time, the Telugu box office has seen a proper hit post the pandemic session and that started with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda movie. Back in March, the film also completed 100 Days run at the box office in some theatres. And here comes a roaring surprise for Nandamuri fans regarding this Boyapati directorial.
At Ramakrishna Theatre in Chilakaluripeta, Balayya and Boyapati’s magical commercial treat “Akhanda” has completed 175 days run now. Reports are coming that the theatre owners want to celebrate this occasion in a private mode and even Nandamuri Balakrishna is likely to attend it. Gone are the days where films are celebrated for their 50 days, 100 days and 200 days run.
Back in the day, Balayya’s films like Narasimha Naidu ran for 200 days in more than 50+ theatres and that used to be a record of sorts. Gone are such those days of glory now as running for 4 weeks in theatres is a miracle now. Amidst these tough times, Akhanda going for a 175 days run in at least one theatre is a record of sorts. Of course, this is the moment that deserves saying, ‘Jai Balayya’.
