‘We are not rivals’

The rivalry between actors in the film industry is a common sight. While some actors carry it only on a professional level, some others carry it on a personal level too. Legendary actor Kamal Haasan falls in the former category.

Kamal says that he carries rivalry only on a professional front and not in his personal life. He made this statement at the audio launch event of his upcoming film Vikram.

He says that he enjoys his rivalry with Rajinikanth on the film front. He also asserted that they are very close friends in their personal life. Kamal stated that Rajini was invited for the audio launch. But he was unable to attend due to some personal reasons. Apparently, he called Kamal and informed the same.

Kamal stated that he is a close friend of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin as well. He said that Stalin’s son Udayanidhi Stalin is distributing Vikram across Tamil Nadu. Notably, Kamal contested against the Stalin family’s DMK party in the 2021 assembly elections.

Meanwhile, Vikram is gearing up for worldwide release on June 3. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, this film features Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in the other key roles.
