Just Promotion, No Increment: Hero Reacts On Pay Hike

The Bollywood industry received its first biggest hit (organic) post the pandemic in the form of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.’ Starring Kartik Aaryan, the film smashed into the Rs 100 crore club and this is the hero’s biggest hit in terms of collections.

But Kartik made it to the headlines for other reasons. A Bollywood entertainment portal exclusively claimed that with the success of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ hero Kartik hiked his remuneration. The article wrote that Kartik was charging between Rs 15 crore to Rs 20 crore until the latest release and with its result, he is reportedly quoting Rs 35 crore to Rs 40 crore.

With the news all over the social media, hero Kartik Aaryan reacted and settled it once and for all. “Promotion hua hai life mein. Increment nahi (Just received a promotion in life not increment). Baseless,” tweeted Kartik Aaryan to the article published.

Kartik being an outsider, he is being targeted by selective digital media of Bollywood for obvious reasons. But Kartik is overlooking all the negativity surrounding him and is very much occupied with his work. Only on rare occasions, he reacts to rumours and settles the dust.
