The ticket prices of a big-budget film are usually higher than that of a small or medium-budgeted film. The large and lavish money spent on the film is tried to be recovered through the ticket windows. Here is another large-scale film coming up with the producer hinting at a ‘blockbuster pricing’!
Prabhas’ fame increased multiple times after Baahubali and his name is heard across the country since the film’s release. Though his films after Baahubali were pure disasters, his lineup has not lost any craze among the makers and audiences. His next film is Adipurush, produced by Bhushan Kumar. Directed by Om Raut, the movie also features Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Sai Ali Khan.
The producer Bhushan Kumar revealed recently that the film is based on Ramayan and is being made at a huge budget of Rs 500 crore. Also in the same conversation, Bhushan Kumar announced that the movie is going to get released with blockbuster pricing as it is expected to open huge with Housefull across. He also said that people will come to see it irrespective of pricing as it is a one-of-a-kind event cinema and there is only limited capacity.
Well, the producer’s idea to optimize the demand for the film by fixing a heavy ticket price is great from his side, but it is clearly evident that a big-ticket price also stops many from going to the movie unless it is a film from a director like Rajamouli.
Gone are the days when audiences throng theaters irrespective of ticket prices, although it depends on many factors like the actors and the director’s last outing also. So the makers may want to think twice before putting up a blockbuster pricing at the ticket counters or else it could emerge as a main villain for the movie.
