For Major, We Are Not Bothered About Collections: Producers

Anurag and Sharath who are known for their Chai Bisket have produced Adivi Sesh’s Major along with GMB Entertainments and Sony Pictures. Major is receiving critical acclaim and commercial success across the coutry. The young producers interacted with media on this occasion.

“We came to office drenched in emotions watching Goodachari Premiere. We asked Sesh about his dream project which is when he said about Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s story. We also have vivid memories of the 26/11 incident and immediately connected to it,” they say.

“We know Namratha garu and she was very excited when we told her about this. She connected us to Sony people. We gave a presentation to them and they were thoroughly impressed,” they added.

The young producers also revealed their journey with Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s parents. “They came to the previews everywhere. They sent a message to Sesh saying they loved the movie so much and offered to do more promotions if needed. We showed them their lost son once again. What more we can give them?,” they emotionally said.

Anurag and Sharath also revealed that the movie is in profits zone but they are as such not bothered about the collections. “We will have that calculations for other films. But for this film, our only target is to ensure that more people watch it. We will promote until the movie is out of the last theater,” they said.
