RRR: Hard work of Tollywood; Credit goes to Bollywood

If people are asked to name the best film in SS Rajamouli’s career, many of them will answer ‘Baahubali.’ Such was the sensation and impact created by the franchise in India. However, it didn’t receive great critical or popular acclaim in the west.

On the other side, Rajamouli’s latest outing RRR was a blockbuster but got a divided talk from most of the domestic audiences. However, the scene is entirely different in the international arena.

The people in the west and the Hollywood folks are enjoying RRR to the core. They are stating that RRR is no less than any Marvel superhero film. Especially, the film has been getting a rave reception since its digital premiere on Netflix (Hindi version). Many international audiences got a chance to watch the movie on the streaming giant and after watching it, they just can’t stop praising the film.

Recently, the film had a re-release in the USA with the special programme titled ‘encoRRRe.’ It received a tremendous response in theatres through this re-release. Many native Americans and Hollywood folks have watched the film in theatres during this re-release.

Until now, many Hollywood critics and technicians praised RRR through social media. However, they are thinking of it as a Bollywood film after watching the Hindi version on Netflix. Even though our local netizens are trying to make them understand that it is a regional Telugu film, still many foreigners think it is a Hindi movie.

Meanwhile, none of the RRR makers or actors is responding to the international appreciation their film is getting It is only the RRR’s Twitter handle which is thanking every foreign celebrity who praises the film. If either Rajamouli or NTR or Ram Charan interacts with the Hollywood folks who are praising the movie, they may get wider international exposure, opined fans. But it looks like they are not in a mood to do so.
