‘Netflix’ To Approach Rajamouli Directly For Baahubali?

After acquiring the rights to the book Rise of Sivagami’ written by Anand Neelakantan, which is set in the Mahishmathi world before the birth of Baahubali and Bhallaladeva, Netflix tried to make it into a web series. However, after Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru shot this web series “Baahubali: Before The Beginning”, Netflix dumped it into the trash can as they didn’t like the final output.

Talk is that Netflix believed back then that director Rajamouli will act as showrunner for the project but the No 1 director of Indian Cinema never gave that chance to Arka Media. They say that Rajamouli had a fallout with Baahubali makers and hence he never wanted to get associated with the web series that is being made on the characters designed by him.

Latest update is that actually Netflix wants to approach Rajamouli directly now to take this web series project forward. After RRR stunned the whole world, especially the Hollywood elite, the OTT streaming giant is said to have decided to hire the top director’s services for the series. But will they approach him through Arka Media or directly is something we have to see.
