On one side, Bollywood is facing heat from Telugu and south movies that are being dubbed there and doing quite well in theatres. Baahubali 2, Pushpa, KGF 2 and Vikram are examples. But then, to get the share of luck, some Bollywood makers are rushing with Telugu remakes but that’s again worrying them.
With Arjun Reddy remake Kabir Singh is a bigger hit than the original, many Bollywood producers are rushing to remake Telugu movies a lot.
Guess what, recently the remake of Jersey has suffered big time at the Bollywood box office and now it is the turn of Nani’s MCA which was remade in Hindi as Nikamma. Even this latest film is also sinking without any trace as the makers completely lost the narrative grip at one point in time.
While MCA movie itself is an average farrer and run at box office only due to Nani and Sai Pallavi’s charisma mainly, one wonders why Bollywood picked it up for a remake.
The film features newcomers as main leads, while Shilpa Shetty appeared in the role of Bhumika. Guess what, nothing impressed the audience or critics about this film.
