Warriorr
Young hero Ram Pothineni, who had never got involved in film business before, has for the first time stepped into film distribution. Ra Po is said to be quite confident of his forthcoming film Warriorr directed by Lingusamy. After being impressed with the film’s terrific output, Ram has decided to acquire the film’s Vizag distribution.
Buzz is that the Vizag area rights of the film have been acquired by Ram for about Rs 4.35 Crore. The film’s producers are quoting Andhra distribution rights of the film for Rs 18 Crore. Considering this, Vizag area rights were bought by Ram proportionately.
Of late, the Vizag area has been witnessing better results. Even the films that had failed to rake in moolah in other centres, have done better in Vizag. This is also another reason for Ram to acquire Vizag theatrical distribution. The business for Ram and Lingusamy’s film is done extraordinary. The film is expected to make a whopping RS 40 Crore business through the theatrical rights itself.
While Ram’s uncle ‘Sravanthi’ Ravi Kishore is into production and also into distribution, this is first for Ram to get into film distribution. One has to wait and see how this would handsomely pay off for Ram. Starring Krithi Shetty as the female lead, the Telugu-Tamil bilingual is slated for release on July 14th.
