Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s fantasy period film Bimbisara is scheduled for release on Aug 5th. Nikhil’s Karthikeya 2, which is a devotional thriller involving high VFX, is now postponed from July 22nd to Aug 5th. This is going to be a direct clash between Karthikeya 2 and Bimbisara.
Buzz has it that Dil Raju has requested the makers of Karthikeya 2 postpone their release from July 22nd making it a solo release for his own production Thank You which has Naga Chaitanya in the lead. Agreeing to Dil Raju’s proposal, makers of Karthikeya 2 have postponed their release to August first week. However, Kalyan Ram is in no mood to postpone Bimbisara from Aug 5th.
With this, Aug 5th is marking a triangular fight with the clash of Nikhil’s Karthikeya 2, Kalyan Ram’s Bimbisara and Dulquer Salmaan’s Sita Ramam. This is going to create a jostle for screens as all three are big-budget films.
It needs to be seen if anyone drops from the Aug 5th race and paves way for the rest of the two films.
