Singer Sravana Bhargavi’s Video: Annamayya Devotees Hurt

Tollywood popular singer Sravana Bhargavi, who was in the news till a few days ago with her divorce rumors, made the headlines again because of her latest Youtube video, Okapari, which is a rendition of Annamayya keerthana.

Sravana Bhargavi’s latest rendition garnered a huge response upon release from music lovers and it received more than 7 lakh views in three days.

But on the flip side, the successors and devotees of Annamayya objected to this video. They objected to the dressing style and how Sravana presented herself in the video. They allege that she disrespected Annamayya by doing so. They have gently demanded apology from Sravana Bhargavi and asked her to remove the video that has hurt millions of Annamayya fans, devotees.

However, the singer denied doing anything wrong that insulted Annamayya. She refused to remove the video. However, we hear that the family members of Annamayya are now contemplating initiating a legal battle.
