Soon after the pandemic, Tollywood is the only film industry in the country to resume its operations in full swing. Even when Bollywood went clueless about how to revive the film industry, Tollywood stood tall and gave tough competition to everyone else. Telugu Cinema has recently witnessed multiple blockbusters, and despite that, we have our issues to deal with.
The Active Telugu Producers Guild has met multiple times to discuss the producers’ key challenges. Now, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce members will be meeting this afternoon to discuss some important issues.
The main agenda is to discuss the decisions taken by The Producers Council last Friday. The discussion includes the release of movies on OTT, giving a time of 10 weeks for films made on a budget of over 6 Cr.
Also, they will discuss about the prices of movie tickets in Telangana and try to come up with a plan of action to implement various cost cutting measures in the process of filmmaking. All new proposals will be implemented if the chamber gives a go-ahead call.
The proposed ticket prices by the Telangana state Film Chamber of Commerce from August 1st onwards are as below.
Small Budget Films:
A&B Centers – 100 Rupees in Theatres & 125 Rupees in Multiplexes
C Centers – 70 Rupees in Theatres & 125 Rupees in Multiplexes
Medium Budget Films:
A&B Centers – 112 Rupees in Theatres & 177 Rupees in Multiplexes
C Centers – 100 Rupees in Theatres & 177 Rupees in Multiplexes
Big Budget Films:
A&B Centers – 177 Rupees in Theatres & 295 Rupees in Multiplexes
C Centers – 150 Rupees in Theatres & 295 Rupees in Multiplexes
