The theatrical trailer for Mollywood star Dulquer Salmaan and Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur’s soon-to-release Telugu love story, Sita Ramam, has released just a while ago. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film also features hero Sumanth and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles.
Sita Ramam trailer starts off with Rashmika being given a letter penned by Lieutenant Ram (Dulquer) 20-years-ago for his lady love Sita Mahalakshmi (Mrunal). Rashmika sets out on an ambitious journey in search of Sita and deliver that letter to her. Will she find Sita after all her ordeals? What is Rashmika’s “problem”? You’ll find the answers to these questions when you watch the film in cinemas.
The trailer takes us to 1965, where an orphan, Lieutenant Ram, serving in the Madras Regiment, receives letters from a girl named Sita. This leads to a poignant love story between the two in the backdrop of war at the snowcapped border. The trailer is impressive, with pleasing visuals by PS Vinod and Vishal Chandrasekhar’s haunting score adding to the mystique factor.
Prakash Raj, Murli Sharma, Jishu Sengupta and Pellichoopulu director Tharun Bhascker will also be seen in key roles in this Swapna Dutt production. Sita Ramam is hitting the screens on August 5th.
