In a rare incident, Megastar Chiranjeevi found fault with Tollywood directors and his comments invited a big debate within the industry circles. At the trailer launch of Laal Singh Chadha (Telugu version), Chiru added that Telugu directors are penning the dialogues after coming to the sets and this is a bad trend.
“After arriving at the sets, we look for the directors. But we get to know that they are busy writing dialogues on the sets. In this gap we as actors, our minds would be occupied with director and dialogues. Because we get less time to remember the dialogues and that would eventually reflect on the performance,” said Chiru.
Suggesting directors to hold a workshop before going to the shoot, Chiru added that if the script and dialogues are freezed much before, every actor would focus just on performance and the film will show better results.
“Aamir is an example. He holds workshops with every actor and technician so that everyone has a better understanding of the script and shooting process. That way things would become easy. I sincerely believe that this work culture should also begin in Tollywood,” quoted the Megastar.
It might have been an experience that Chiru came across with recently and in his words, he seems to dislike this trend. He is not a person who talks about directors in public yet he opened up and advised directors to get rid of this culture.
But whom did Chiru refer to in his comments? That can be debated and will there be a change in Tollywood directors’ approach following this incident?
