Darlings Trailer Talk: Interesting Dark Comedy

After scoring hits with Gangubai Kathiawadi and RRR, Alia Bhatt is now back with her new outing, Darlings. Apart from acting, she also co-produced the film. Darlings opted for a direct digital release on Netflix. The trailer of this dark comedy has been unveiled today.

The 2-minute-39-second-long trailer is a thrilling ride. At the trailer’s beginning, Alia and Shefali Shah lodge a complaint about Vijay Varma (played the role of Alia’s husband), who goes missing. But there is a twist in the tale.

Alia herself has hidden Vijay Varma. She is a victim of domestic violence, and she decides to give the same treatment to her husband as well. How things unfold in this dramatic situation seems to be the film’s core plot.

Alia, Shefali, and Vijay are powerhouse actors. Watching them together on the screen will be a treat for sure. Malayalam actor Roshan Matthew also played a key role in the movie. Dark comedies are rare in Indian cinema, and we have to see how this film will be received.

Darlings is also being produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. It is slated for a worldwide premiere on August 5.
