RX 100 Director’s Hindi Debut With Rajkumar Hirani?

Director Ajay Bhupathi, who made a splashy debut with RX 100, is all set for his Bollywood debut. Reports have it that Ajay Bhupathi is going to team up with none other than ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani who will be bankrolling Bhupati’s Hindi debut. Buzz is that Rajkumar Hirani is impressed with Ajay Bhupathi’s previous work and is in touch with him for the past year where the duo is discussing various ideas.

Apparently, Ajay has bounced some story ideas to Hirani and the latter is said to have shortlisted one of them. Meanwhile, Hirani has also shortlisted another story plot from his own creative team. Raj Kumar Hirani is going to finalise one of the two ideas. “Whichever idea is chosen by Hirani, Ajay Bhupathi is going to direct the film,” shared a source in the know.

The script discussions between Ajay and the team of writers are simultaneously happening. If all goes well, this film will go onto the floors next year and it will be made in Hindi and Telugu. This is going to be a big opportunity for Ajay Bhupathi whose last film Maha Samudram has disappointed.

It can be noted that Hirani is one of the most critically acclaimed and award winning filmmakers in Bollywood who is known for films like 3 Idiots, Sanju, PK, Munna Bhai MBBS and et al. So, he is a very sensible filmmaker who has complete hold on scripts. It is interesting for him to pick Ajay Bhupati. Let’s wait for an official confirmation soon.
