For the bandh called by “Active Producers Guild” actually the support of Telugu Film Chamber is quite crucial if everyone has to take part in it. And finally, APG has succeeded to get the approval of the Chamber to shut down Tollywood from August 1st as it is being popularised already. But there is a twist too.
Apparently, the Active Producers Guild gave a list of things that they are fighting for and even Chamber has a look into it. But then, Film Chamber is said to have confirmed that they will be fighting on issues like cancellation of Virtual Print Fee by Qube and other service providers, ability to alter prices of tickets for small films, fixing up wages of daily labour in Tollywood, solving release dates issues, OTT release conditions and releasing small films on percentages basis rather exhibitors charging whole theatre price.
The real surprise is that actually Active Producers Guild has mainly complained that the high remunerations of heroes, heroines and character artists are costing them a bomb and they want to temporarily halt the shootings to control these things. But why didn’t Film Chamber doesn’t speak about the remunerations thing is still a surprise.
