As the solo lead hero, Sita Ramam is the first straight Telugu film for Dulquer Salmaan. Though he was there in Mahanati, he was not the solo lead hero of it. Keerthy Suresh was the main lead in that film. So, it will be a litmus test for Dulquer and his future in Tollywood.
Sita Ramam also marks the entry of Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur into Tollywood. She is pinning a lot of hopes on this movie. Her Bollywood career is not shining like a bright star. If she can score a big success with Sita Ramam, she can get busy in Tollywood at least.
The film also features Sumanth in a key role. If his character clicks well, this movie can become a revival project for him. All his recent films are flops.
Keeping everything aside, Sita Ramam’s success is highly important for director Hanu Raghavapudi. Though he has been directing films for over a decade, Hanu is yet to score a blockbuster. If he disappoints again with this film, his future will be in question.
