Nandamuri Kalyanram’s “Bimbisara” has become such a massive blockbuster that the ongoing talks of Active Producers Guild have taken a new turn. Leaving that aside, the possibility of making a visual effects movie on a much lesser budget when compared to the likes of Baahubali and KGF is turning out to be an interesting case study for other filmmakers now.
Apparently, the Bimbisara team’s creative work is said to have inspired Raviteja’s upcoming film “Tiger Nageswararao” team, and they will be using similar technology to reproduce the 1980s and 60s kind of look in their film. By constructing only half the sets, and scanning real locations to recreate them with a realistic look in visual effects software, and mixing these two to get ultra-realistic new environments, the Bimbisara team is said to have used Augmented Reality and Unreal technology. And to create the iconic ‘Stuartpuram’ village, now Raviteja’s production team is said to have borrowed the technological brilliance of the Bimbisara team.
For the unknown, so far, the Tiger Nageswararao team has built the set of Stuartpuram village twice in Hyderabad, once in the Shamshabad area and other time in Ramoji Film City, but somehow creating a digital extension of the village in CG has become a challenge for them. Now that Bimbisara has shown a way, they are breathing a huge sigh of relief.
